Awkwafina
American musician and actor Awkwafina made her debut with humorous rap tracks that tackled sexual identity and race with a an incisive and humorous perspective, before broadening her reach to Hollywood. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese and Korean parents who hail from Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was the first instrument she played for her. In the following years, she took up traditional and hip-hop training. While in college, she took classes in the field of women's studies and journalism. In addition, she spent some time learning Mandarin during her time in Beijing. The focus on music until after she finished her studies. Her track in 2012 My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success on the Internet before settling on her debut album Yellow Ranger in 2014. It also included viral hits including body positive Queef and winking tour of her home NYC BitcheUSD. The latter track was tied to Awkwafina's NYC, a 2015 travel guide. As a musician and an author as her credentials, she determined to pursue an actor for a third venture. In 2018, she landed a number of major roles like Dude Ocean's Eight or Crazy Rich Asians. This June, she released her debut EP "In Fina We Trust".
