Linda Edna Cardellini (n e Lorraine (Hernan), was the daughter of Wayne David Cardellini (a businessman) in Redwood City. She is of Italian (from her paternal grandpa), Irish (from her mother), German, English, and Scottish origins. Linda lived living in California in the San Francisco Bay area, California she was the youngest of four children. Her interest in acting began in the age of ten when she performed a singing role in the school's Christmas show. Her school productions included plays as well as local community theater. James then portrayed the role of Countess Natasha Rostova as part of the adaptation of War & Peace (2016). James also appeared in numerous films like Baby Driver (2017) and The Dig -2021. We Go Back Again (2018), and Yesterday (2019). The actress was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award in 2022 for her portrayal of Pamela Anderson, the star of Pam & Tommy.
