Kristen Anne Bell (1980) is an extremely popular American singer and actor. Her birthplace and childhood was in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier) and is a nurse, and Tom Bell, a television news director. She was born in the town of Huntington Woods, Michigan with an Polish mother and father that is German, English Irish, Scottish as well as Irish. Kristen discovered her talents in entertainment from a young age. She was just 12 when she attended her first audition, and was able to win the role of Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell 13, who was 13 at the time her mother enrolled as an agent was cast on TV and newspaper advertisements. Bell also began taking private acting classes at this time. Bell had a small uncredited part in the film Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell went to Shrine Catholic High School and was in the band as well as the drama club. She was a part of Dorothy in the production for high school in The Wizard of Oz. Bell then moved into New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She studied musical theater at the Tisch School of the Arts. Bell left her studies in 2001, and began playing Becky the character of Tom Sawyer. Bell made her debut film credit in Pootie Tang in 2001. However, her scene cut, and her only appearance is in the credits at the end. Bell was on Broadway for the first time in The Crucible, a revival which featured Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
